Today's Quick Mention: Just in case you
missed the announcement late last night, this year's
Fun Fun Fun Fest
lineup
is out! As always, it's stellar. The
festival takes places November 2, 3, and 4. If
you know of a way to make the time between now and
then go faster, please speak up.
As it just so happens, today's artist is actually
playing FFF Fest. They're called the Helio
Sequence, and they're great (and have been for
years). Below is the first track off their
first full length since 2008's Keep Your Eyes
Ahead. Check it out. The band is all
set to release Negotiations on September 11
via the mighty Sub Pop. Enjoy.

If there's one thing that I can always count on the Helio
Sequence to deliver, it's an immaculate sound.
Seriously. I don't think these guys have it in them to
create something that's not an absolute ear pleaser.
So, grab some headphones and let this swirl around upstairs,
or just turn it on and let it fill the room. It plays
well either way.
