Today's Quick Mention:  If you have nothing going on, or the opportunity to skip out of work early presents itself, I highly recommend heading down to Waterloo Records at 5pm to see my friends the Eastern Sea play.  They just put out an LP titled Plague, and it's a good one.

I really love Tame Impala.  The band's last album, Innerspeaker, was an all around great listen that placed near the top of my year-end list back in 2010, and I can't help but hope that their upcoming full length will be even better.  The effort is titled Lonerism, and you'll be able to snatch up at some point in October via Modular.  Enjoy.

:Tame Impala - Apocalypse Dreams:  Releasing a swirling six minute slab of pure psych as the first taste off a highly anticipated album is probably not what I would advise, but I like that they did it.  Mainly because this band is just fantastic at making the sort of music that's easy to get lost in, and them reassuring me that this approach isn't going away is sort of nice.  Now, grab headphones and prepare to zone out.
