Today's Quick Mention:  Don't be afraid to get out and catch a show tonight.  Gomez and Hey Rosetta are playing Antones, and you can find Paul Banks And The Carousels, Daniel Ellsworth And The Great Lakes, and The Lovely Sparrows at the Mohawk.

Tune time.  Enjoy.

:Junk Science And Scott Thorough - 30 Lives (The Batsauce Remix):  I've never heard the original version of this, so I have no idea if Batsauce greatly altered it or just did some enhancing.  Either way, I really like it, and I hope that you will too.  Junk Science deserves more fans.  This remix doesn't have an official home, so download and save while you can.

:Morningbell - You Think I Don't Know (But I Know):
This isn't a band that I've been a big follower of in the past, but I can't deny that I really dig this track.  It's the sort of indie pop that infects your head and refuses to leave until you promise to buy the album.  The band will release Basso Profundo, which is their fourth full length, on March 20 via themselves.

:Weird Dreams - Little Girl:  In just an afternoon I went from not knowing that this act existed to seeing them all over a slew of major sites.  Did I miss the boat?  Or did everyone else just decide to jump on the bandwagon at the same time?  In any case,  this is a really nice piece of pop, so I suppose I get why the world is suddenly paying attention.  The band is set to release their debut, Choreography, on April 2 via Tough Love.

:White Woods - Where Did You Go:  White Woods is the solo project of Julia Kugel, who usually handles guitar and vocal duties for the always catchy act known as the Coathangers.  This is roughly 100% less upbeat than what she normally does, but I think you're going to really like it.  Grab headphones.  Suicide Squeeze will release the Where Did You Go single later this year.

:Royal Canoe - Hold On To The Metal:  This track has been sitting on my hard drive for about a month how, and I have no idea why.  It's a pop number that's both refreshing and fun, and I should have totally posted it up a long time ago. Oh well.  The band just released the Extended Play EP.  Grab it.  Also, make a note about how they'll also be playing SXSW.
