Today's Quick Mention:  If you happen to use Spotify and would like to check out some extended cuts from our "SXSW Favorable Mentions" group, then click here and subscribe to our snazzy playlist.  We'll update it daily (as long as the artist has material on said service).

I love Black Mountain, so news of them scoring a post-apocalyptic surf movie is something of great interest to me.  Although, it should be noted that they could conduct loitering sessions and I'd probably get at least a little excited.  Anyhow, the Year Zero soundtrack they've crafted has five new songs and five previously released tunes, and it's due out April 3 via Jagjaguwar.  Enjoy.

:Black Mountain - Mary Lou:  I'm used to Black Mountain working around and eventually getting aggressive and loud, but this jumps right into it.  Maybe it's the film's influence, or perhaps they just wanted to punch listeners right in the ear.  Either way, it's really good, and you should have no problem hitting play and turning this loud enough for everyone around you to hear.
