Today's Quick Mention:  If you have a chunk of time to spare today, there are some really nice full album streams available for your consumption.  Cursive's I Am Gemini is here, Damien Jurado's Maraqopa is here, and Grimes' Visions is here.  Listen to them all!

Hooray for Presidents.  And stuff.  Enjoy.

:Fidlar - No Waves:  There's one song in today's post that will inspire you to jump off the couch and run around outside for the rest of the afternoon, and it's this gem.  Talk about packing an infectious amount of energy.  The band will release the No Waves/No Ass 7" on March 13 via Mom + Pop.  They'll also be playing a variety of shows during SXSW.

:The Lovely Bad Things - I Just Want You To Go Away:
I really need to admit that I'm rather stuck on the title of this song.  It's fantastic, and so true in a variety of situations in my life.  Regardless of that stuff, though, it's also an anthemic number that's sure to get lodged in your head.  The New Ghosts/Old Waves EP is due out March 13 via Volcom Entertainment.

:The Young - Livin' Free:  These guys are local, but I almost feel like that isn't true since I've somehow managed to not see them at all.  Ever.  It's ridiculous on my part, and I'm happy they have a new LP coming so that I can be constantly reminded to see them play.  This psych-enthused gem is loud in all the right ways, and you'll able to find it on Dub Egg, which is due May 8 via Matador.

:Colleen Green - Goldmine:  I have to give it up to this band.  They definitely fit in that packed category of lady-lady fuzzy pop, but they continuously manage to come back with a take that's just different enough to keep things interesting.  I didn't even know they were working on a full length, but it's apparently done and coming out tomorrow via Art Fag.  It's titled Milo Goes To Compton.

:Horse Feathers - Fit Against The Country:  It's probably just because it wasn't my thing, but I didn't find much to love on this act's debut.  This track, though, is pretty great and has me excited to hear some more new stuff.  Be sure to throw on some headphones so that the superbly crafted arrangement can swirl around in your head.  Kill Rock Stars will release Cynics New Year on April 17.
