For the
sake of not having to write the same intro a million
different ways throughout the rest of time, just know that
this column avoids the overly long and sometimes dull
process of full film reviews and instead opts to break
things down based on what I thought going in, what happened
while I was there and what I learned at the end of it all.
Hope that's OK.

The
Breakdown - Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance
The Impression:
Nicolas Cage continues his search for cash by doing the
sequel to one of his more universally panned films.
This time, though, he's with the guys who made the Crank
movies.
The Reality:
I actually want to tell you to see this, but I know there's
no point. You won't do it. And why should you?
The first film is widely regarded as garbage, Nicolas Cage
is crazy, and the flick is coming out in the cesspit of
February releases that generally aren't worth paying for.
Still though, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance isn't
half bad.
Yes, the movie is completely stupid and has more than a few
moments where your eyes will roll completely out of your
head, but it also happens to be 100% fun. Directors
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor do their best to keep the
story quick and the action big, and instead of trying to
hide the fact that Nicolas Cage might be insane, they play
up on it and let him run free. Also, and this should
definitely be noted, the 3D in it was rather good. I
expected it to be dark and muddy, but it was crystal clear
and well lit.
The Lesson:
This is a movie you would have loved as a kid, so remember
what it's like to have fun at the theater.
