The songs keep pouring out from SOTO favorite Leatherbag. After releasing an album and an EP last July, Randy Reynolds and Co. have now put together a collection of tracks known as Ditto Time. It's in preparation for an upcoming mini-tour in early March, and the band is offering the set of tunes for a name your own price download on Bandcamp. As an added content bonus, they also have a new Christopher Kim-directed video for "Teenage Creeps" from the Patience EP.

I've seen the name Grape St floating around in recent months have been curious to check them out as the band includes members from Harlem and Frank Smith. I haven't seen them perform yet but I've been enjoying the infectious and upbeat tune, "A Date With You." Love those jangly, ringing guitar riffs! You can catch them play tonight at Hotel Vegas:

In the past few months, my music world has intersected with my working world. Imagine my surprise running into someone I met playing at shows at my workplace. I met Marc Hoegg last year as a member of Elaine Greer and Friends (on bass guitar and backing vocals). He is also a singer and songwriter in his own right as a member of the local indie rock quartet, Easy, Tiger. They released 2 EPs on Bandcamp in late 2011. Weezer is an obvious influence, and that's alright with me. I'm looking forward to hearing more from them this year. In the meantime, the catchy tune "My Current State of Affairs" is getting many repeat listens and might just stay stuck in my head for awhile.
