Today's Quick Mention: If you have a
moment to spare, you should definitely check out
Shearwater's new album, Animal Joy.
It's not physically out until Sub Pop releases it
next week, but you can currently stream the entire
thing over at NPR's
First Listen.
I like Here We Go Magic. I don't know if I'd
say there's anything particularly special about them
that keeps me coming back, but I appreciate how
they're a really solid act that usually has
something interesting going on. Their new
album, which is titled A Different Ship, is
set to be released May 8 via Secretly Canadian.

We Go Magic - Make Up Your Mind: It took me a few listens, but I finally settled on the
fact that this isn't a catchy song. It seems like it
should be, as there's certainly an infectious rhythm to it.
However, it really is just an odd little number that isn't
necessarily something you can expect to have stuck in your
head as you stroll around town. I can't wait to hear
more.
