It's been over six months since the The Blurries, who are based out of Dallas, released their debut album, Paper Cuts, and played in Austin. This month they've posted a first video for the song, My Love Is A Fuse That Burns So Slowly, and they're returning to play in town this Friday at Skinny's Ballroom with No Future (formerly known as Leatherbag) and Gentlemen Rogues. This is a dream bill for me -chock full of ringing, jangly, and crunchy guitars.

While this is a rare chance to catch The Blurries signature janglecore sound in Austin,  it's also a great opportunity to check out what Leatherbag is now doing as No Future, and to see Gentlemen Rogues before they set out on a mini-tour across Texas. This is going to be a loud show, and I mean that in a good way, This bill puts the power in power pop.
