Today's Quick Mention: The stellar show
streak in Austin continues tonight. You could
catch Terry Malts and One Hundred Flowers at the
Mohawk, or see the Energy at Beerland, or go with
Language Room at Stubb's. Just be sure to get
out and see something.
Back in February Cadence Weapon released a random
single that had me hoping some sort of new EP/LP was
on the way. Well, there is! Hooray for
the world and all those who inhabit it! The
full length (his first since 2008's Afterparty
Babies) is titled Hope In Dirty City, and
it's expected to be put out on May 29 via Upper
Class. Enjoy.

Weapon - Conditioning: As expected, this is a cool track. Whether you're
a fan of hip hop or not, you should take a few minutes to
give this a listen. The songwriting is fantastic, and
CW does a great job of building a sound that's just as
interesting as what's coming out of his mouth. I
really hope I get the chance to hear this live at some point
this year.
