Today's Quick Mention:  Most people are still trying to get their post-SXSW heads on straight, so there aren't very many shows worth catching tonight.  My recommendation is that you just go see The Raid: Redemption.  It's one of the best action flicks in years.

Five songs for your Tuesday!  Enjoy.

:Moonface - Headed For The Door:  I have to admit that I'm rather excited for this act's upcoming effort.  I really dug the first single, and now this headphone worthy effort has arrived with the clear goal to please my ears.  It's only going to continue getting better from here, right?  With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery is due out April 17 on Jagjaguwar.

:Royal Headache - Down The Lane:  There's one track in today's mix that will make you want to immediately join a rock act with soul leanings, and it's this inspired number.  At some point there will be a moment where I figure out a way to get it out of my head.  The band will release What's Your Rupture? on May 8, and they'll be playing a couple of shows around Austin in June.

:The Spinto Band And Miniature Tigers - Me And My Arrow (Harry Nilsson Cover):
As I was digging though emails over the weekend this was one of the tracks that really stuck out.  I love the breezy pace, and the two bands together combine for a pop sound that's almost impossible to not like.  The Spinto Band will release Shy Pursuit on May 1 via Spintonic Recordings.  This song is not on it, so grab it while you can.

:Conduits - Top Of The Hill:  I was already excited to see Cursive and Cymbals Eat Guitars at the Mohawk on April 14, but this band is also playing?  That's ridiculous.  You have to be there with me.  If you can't make it, at least be sure to love this shoegaze-enthused gem.  Conduits just put out their self titled full length via Team Love.  I need to get it.

:Animal Kingdom - Strange Attractor (Black Fethers Remix):  I know this band has been getting a nice amount of buzz for a while now, but I hadn't really paid them any attention until this track landed in my inbox.  Expect to be delivered the sort of well crafted pop that deserves headphones.  This is a one-off remix, but they'll release an official full length at some point this year.
