Today's Quick Mention:  Let's get things back to normal, yeah?  It's been three weeks of randomness because of SXSW and vacation time, and I'm ready to talk music.  To prove this (and to help me get caught up), I'm doing a Quickdraw every day this week.  I think you can handle it.

And, we're back to it.  Enjoy.

:Japandroids - The House That Heaven Built:  No one does an anthem like Japandroids, and I'm really happy to see that they didn't abandon this particular skill on their upcoming full length.  Here's hoping I don't have to wait too long before I get to hear it all.  The awesomely titled Celebration Rock is due out June 5 via Polyvinyl.  This track will also have it's own 7" on May 5.

:Zambri - Hundred Hearts:  I hadn't previously had much interest in this act, but I caught them at SXSW and thought they were pretty great.  It's the sort of electronic music you've heard before, but the two lady singers come off as inspired.  You're going to like it.  Zambri will released House Of Bassa on April 10 via the always steady Kanine Records.

:Maps And Atlases - Fever:
I was really hoping to catch this band at SXSW, but I couldn't seem to get my schedule lined up with theirs.  Bummer.  This is the second single off their upcoming album, and it's a gem.  I recommend throwing on some headphones.  Beware And Be Grateful is expected out April 17 via Barsuk, and the band is set to play the Parish on June 1.

:Strawberry Whiplash - Stop, Look And Listen:  This Scotish duo doesn't have anything going for them that you haven't heard before - they're sweet, catchy, and retro.  Still, it's pretty good stuff, and there's no reason you shouldn't be well aware of them.  Hits In The Car was just released last week though Darta Records.  Pick a copy or two up.

:Best Coast - The Only Place:  Best Coast are back!  Although, I honestly feel as though they were ever gone since there's always someone going on and on about them.  And this song?  It's good.  There's a little less fuzz and a quicker pace, which works well for them.  The rather highly anticipated The Only Place is due out May 15 through Mexican Summer.
