Today's Quick Mention:  The glorious Fantastic Fest starts today!  I'll be doing my best to do the usual content tomorrow and Saturday, but I can't promise it will actually happen.  If you're planning on attending the festival then hit me up on Twitter so we can watch a weird movie or 12 together.

The Raveonettes have long been one of my favorite acts, so of course I'm in for anything new ... even if it's a random contribution to the upcoming video game Batman: Arkham City.  Check out their song below, and then look for the comp, which also features tracks from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Duke Spirit, on October 4.  Enjoy.

:The Raveonettes - Oh, Stranger:  I'm not sure I can imagine this playing while I run around and beat up bad guys as Batman, but nonetheless it's a cool song with just enough kick to make me want to get up and move around in a dance-like fashion.  Also, and this is how you known it's a Raveonettes tune, the damn thing is as catchy as can be and will surely get lodged in your head.  Like a batarang.  Or whatever.
