Today's Quick Mention:  You're either off to see Bon Iver and Kathleen Edwards at the Long Center tonight, or you're going to Language Room and Boy at the Mohawk.  There are no other options.  Well, actually there are, but those are the two you should be considering.

Austin's the Strange Boys have yet to put out anything that's made me want to locate them and provide a thunderous high five, but with every release I think they get a little closer to getting that reaction.  Guess we'll see if it's time for such a thing on October 24, which is when Rough Trade plans to release Live Music.  Enjoy.

:The Strange Boys - Me And You:  To be honest, I think this might be the most accessible track this band has ever churned out.  I love the playful arrangement, and every bit of it is worthy of your golden pipes whenever you can manage some time to sing-a-long.  If at least half of the new album is this infectious, then I think I might finally be in for that aforementioned high five.
