Today's Quick Mention: Austin Film
Festival kicks off tonight. I'll be talking up
whatever I see over on
Twitter,
but a recap (as always) will follow once the thing

at Lambert's or Astronautalis at the Mohawk.
What's going on with the Ting Tings? When a
new track popped up yesterday I thought I had
somehow missed the release of their sophomore full
length, but the actual news is that it keeps getting
delayed. Weird. My assumption is that
you'll see the disc at some point in early 2012.
Until then, check out their latest single.

Ting Tings - Hang It Up: This thing is what I would describe as sensory overload.
For some, this will not be something looked at in a positive
light. However, I think you'll fall in love with the
track rather quickly if you have a bit of ADD, happen to
greatly love pop music from the 90s, and just want something
to blast while you're out riding around in your car.
In other words, this is another guilty pleasure gem from the
band.
