Today's Quick Mention:  There's a couple of heavy hitters in town tonight, but if you don't have the cash to see Morrissey or Aretha Franklin, I recommend either Mark Sultan and the Zoltars at the Mohawk or the Ghost Wolves at the Continental Club.

I tend to stay far away from anything related to Twilight, but the soundtrack for the latest flick has a couple of nice songs on it.  One in particular is a new effort from the Joy Formidable, and you can check it out below.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part I is available now.  You'll find stuff on it from Theophilus London, Iron and Wine, the Noisettes, and more.  Enjoy.

:The Joy Formidable - Endtapes:  Like most things that are created by this band, this is a shimmering piece of pop rock that will immediately remind you of the kind of music that filled the radio in the 90s.  I dig it.  Hopefully you do too.  Now excuse me, I need to find a comfortable, private spot to turn this up really loud and practice my variety of dramatic rock poses.
