Today's Quick Mention: Just in case you
somehow managed to totally miss it, the full lineup
for the 10th Austin City Limits Music Festival has
been
revealed! I usually scoff at the
headliners, but this year I feel as though C3 did a
nice job of landing rather cool acts. Bring on
September.
While the rest of the world spent yesterday flipping
out over a new single from Bon Iver, I found myself
more intrigued with the latest track to leak from
the Black Lips' upcoming full length. Who knew
that those guys plus Mark Ronson would result in so
many fun songs? Anyhow, Arabia Mountain
is due June 7 via Vice Records. Enjoy.

Lips - New Direction: Considering
that their sound has shifted from raw garage rock to an
almost pop perfect version of the Hives, I kind of feel that
because of the title, this song would have been more
appropriate as the first single. Either way, this
quick effort desperately wants to make your day as fun and
bouncy as possible, so turn up the volume and get on with
it.
