Today's Quick Mention:  There's not really any shows I'd recommend for tonight, so instead I'm going to tell you to head down to the Ritz for a showing of Hobo With A Shotgun.  FYI, the movie is only going to be there through this week.  Act now!

Music.  And stuff.  Enjoy.

:Radical Dads - New Age Dinosaur:  Calling your woman-fronted band Radical Dads is funny in a way that probably only matters to me, so instead of focusing on that I'll just point out that they, as shown in this track, craft very easy to love indie rock.  Mega Rama is the name of their debut full length, and it will be out everywhere on June 14 via Uninhabitable Mansions.

:Washed Out - Eyes Be Closed:  Washed Out main-brain Ernest Greene couldn't be a riding a more positive wave right now.  He's getting tons of love from press/blogs, the ink is still wet on his deal with the almighty Sub Pop, and this track, which is the first single off his upcoming LP, is stellar.  Jump on the bandwagon while there's still some room.  Within And Without is due out July 12.

:Com Truise - Cathode Girls:  Where Radical Dads had a name that caused me to chuckle, this just forced me to shake my head in a disapproving fashion.  Really?  Com Truise is the best you could do?  Anyhow, you'll more than likely forget about Seth Hayley's goofy moniker as soon as you hear how gloriously synthy this song is, so get on with it!  Galactic Melt is due July 5 via Ghostly International.

:1, 2, 3 - Work:  I can't say how many times I listened to this quirky and refreshing pop number this weekend, but I do know that every single time I hit play I wondered why I hadn't previously paid any attention to 1, 2, 3.  Talk about silly mistakes on my part.  Frenchkiss Records will release New Heaven on June 21, and I can't help but think that it's going to be pretty good.

:Other Lives - Tamer Animals:  I meant to right about this band after I saw them put on a really nice set about a week or so ago at the Decemberists show, but for some reason it didn't happen.  So, in order to make up for my forgetfulness, I'm going to have to ask that you love this beautiful track twice as much as normal.  Tamer Animals is due out tomorrow via tbd.
