Today's Quick Mention:  Don't forget to come out to Spiderhouse Ballroom tonight!  Lot's of great bands are playing, and if you register at Do512 it's only $3.  Also, just a heads up, starting tomorrow the site is going on a little holiday until July 5th.  Be safe out there, friends.

I get the feeling that Tennis is one of those acts that people either really love or totally loathe.  That's understandable, as even their best songs can sometimes require some patience via repeat listens to fully appreciate.  For me, though, they're one of those pop acts I just really dig.  Below you'll find a cover that the band randomly decided to release.  Enjoy.

:Tennis - Is It True? (Brenda Lee Cover):  Considering that Tennis is as retro as can been, covering an older pop tune is obviously a natural fit for them, and it's no surprise that this nearly sounds like it could be an original effort of theirs.  With that being said, I do really like that they stepped away from their usually perfect, breezy ways and allowed this to be upbeat and sloppy.
