Don’t fall for their big, glazed eyes - if the Hungry Kids of Hungary look surprisingly well fed to you, it’s probably because they’re actually perfectly satiated ruffians of Australia. Don’t let that keep you from being in a giving mood though. No, no - give these guys your ears, your interest, your luuurve. With a pungently punny moniker, you know this Brisbane-based four-piece certainly carry on with tongue-in-cheek, and their perfectly carefree, laidback musical tunage make them a rather fitting summer soundtrack. Anyone that’s a fan of Vampire Weekend ought to find a familiar jangly sound in this group. Hungry Kids of Hungary - you just know these guys have enough humor to not take themselves too seriously. It’s fun, and it’s youthful ... and it’s jangly.
