Today's Quick Mention:  Hopefully you guys caught the list of artists that will be doing ACL tapings later this summer.  It's incredible.  If you missed it, check it out here, and then feel free to join me in trying to figure out how to get in for Joanna Newsom and Arcade Fire.

Despite having a slew of singles that I really like, CSS have yet to put out an LP that's made me want to pump my fist and point towards the sky in a fit of pure celebration.  Perhaps their upcoming effort will change that.  Or not.  We'll see on August 29 when V2/Cooperative/Downtown
releases La Liberacion to the masses.  Enjoy.

:CSS - Hits Me Like A Rock (Featuring Bobby Gillespie):  The inclusion of Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie is a nifty tidbit, but I'm mostly stuck on breezy and effortless this is.  It honestly makes me want to loosely frolic around on a beach somewhere.  And I don't frolic.  Ever.  But that may be because I don't live near a beach. Anyhow, this track is a really good one.  Have fun with it.
