Today's Quick Mention:  Unless you've only been focused on Emmylou Harris playing ACL Live tonight, the first part of this week has been slow on the show front.  Fortunately, things pick back up tomorrow with La Snacks and Blue Kabuki at Red 7, and Quin Galavis at Spiderhouse Ballroom.

Wild Flag are my favorite new band.  I absolutely loved the one set I saw them do at SXSW, and I've almost worn out the tracks that were on their Record Store Day 7".  Naturally, this means I'm rather excited at the official announcement of a full length.  It's self titled and Merge will release it on the too far away date of September 13.  Enjoy.

:Wild Flag - Romance:  This song is so amazingly good.  Seriously.  Crank the volume as high as whatever you have will go and try to find someone that doesn't like its glorious indie rock ways  It's impossible, I tell you!.  Now, save your pennies and buy a ticket for their sure-to-be awesome show at Emo's on October 29.  We can meet up.  I'll be the guy who keeps trying to edge his way onto the stage.
