Today's Quick Mention: I can't say for
sure if I'll be able to make it out, but Paleo is
playing Hole In The Wall tonight, and he needs to be
seen. So, I demand that you and all your
friends go. It's a totally FREE show, and
you'll also get to see CJ Boyd, Reverend Glasseye
and Cartright.
Pepper Rabbit are on the verge of becoming one of my
favorite new bands simply because of how hard they
work. They've been in Austin at least twice
since SXSW, they just announced another tour with
Braids, and somewhere in there they readied another
full length. And to think I did good just to
get up today. Red Velvet Snow Ball
is due August 9 on Kanine. Enjoy.

Rabbit - Rose Mary Stretch:
While this certainly still has some of the warmth that I'm
used to hearing from this band, there's also a surprising
amount of kick. That's not to say it will knock you
out of your chair or anything, but its quick pace, loud
chorus and lyrical stabs about life and expectations will
probably catch you off guard throughout the first few
listens.
