Today's Quick Mention: As many of you
already know, Chaos In Tejas kicks off tonight.

heading over to Stubb's (inside) for Speak, Mother
Falcon and Ruby Jane.
Devonte Hynes is someone I'd consider to be fairly
hit or miss.
I liked what he did with Test Icicles, but there was
something about his solo work as Lightspeed Champion that didn't do
much for me. Fortunately, his new project,
which is titled Blood Orange, seems to have
connected. The Chris Taylor (of Grizzly Bear
fame) produced single is out on Terrible now.

Orange - Dinner:
This is such a trendy hipster track that I almost feel like
I should throw on a scarf and some skinny jeans whenever I
listen to it. And yet, despite it's incessant nagging
to make me dress in the most uncomfortable way possible, I
still recognize it as one hell of a summer tune. If I
had the skills to dance to anything in a hot, packed packed
club somewhere, this is the song I'd want to boom in the
background.
