Today's Quick Mention: Not much worth
getting out for tonight, but there are some nice
shows going down tomorrow. Wooden Birds are at
the Mohawk, Eels and the Submarines are playing
Stubbs outside early, and then My Education will
follow them up inside.
Leatherbag has been a highlight of the the local
scene for years, but that's not why you should pay
attention to the LP and EP they're about to put out.
Nope, you should do it because Randy Reynolds and
Co. kick all sorts of ass, and it's about time
everyone saluted them for it. Yellow TV
and the Patience EP are due out later this
month, but they can both be streamed
here.
Enjoy.

- Imitation Generation:
Hailing from the Yellow TV full length, this is one
of my favorite songs to come along in 2011. Randy's
vocals are loose and inspired, and I especially love how the
music gets a little rowdier with every passing second.
Play it loud!

- Teenage Creeps:
This one is from the Patience EP, and it's as garage
rock as can be. If you've already listened to the
above track, then you'll probably notice that the only thing
they really have in common is that they both sound better
when the volume is cranked.
