Today's Quick Mention: Yesterday I
bought tickets to see Harry Potter And The
Deathly Hallows: Part 2. I've found all
the other movies in the series to at least be solid,
but this is the first one I can actually say I'm
actually excited about. And you? Are you
ready for the end?
While they may have lost some credibility with me
because of those useless
videos meant to tease their new
album, I'm definitely still excited to be getting a
new effort from the moodiest indie rock band around.
The full length is called In The Pit Of The
Stomach, and it's due out October 4 via FatCat
Records. Below you'll find a taste. Enjoy.

Were Promised Jetpacks - Act On Impulse:
This is a cool sounding track, but I have to admit that it
mostly just builds and builds and never really does
anything. Still, I've listened to it quite a few times
since it popped up in my inbox. Some of that is due to
me loving how it sounds in headphones, but mostly I just
really like thinking about how it plays in the context of
the new album. Surely it's going to be epic, right?
