Today's Quick Mention:  Tonight is slim pickings in regards to live music, but that doesn't matter all that much since Robert Ellis is playing the Cactus Cafe.  Jonny Corndawg will kick off the show at 8:30.  Tix are only $12.  Come out, or be sad at home by yourself.

Speaking of Robert Ellis, today is thoroughly his day.  As I already mentioned, he has a show in town tonight, and to make things even better his new full length, Photographs, is also being released via New West Records.  Congrats to him!  And you.  For being around to witness the fun.  Or something.  In any case, buy the album.  Enjoy.

:Robert Ellis - What's In It For Me?:  Before you hit play, know that this is country to its core.  And I'm not talking the kind of country music that carries the word "alternative" in front of it.  I mean the sort of George Jones-esque stuff that your grandfather blared as he sat on the back porch with a beer in his hand and his feet propped up.  Here's hoping you're ready to start the week off with something a bit more traditional than usual.
