Today's Quick Mention: Last week I had
the chance to see Lissie perform at the KGSR Music
Lounge, and she was rather awesome. In fact,
it was so good that I'm now impatiently waiting for
the next time she comes through town. Proof is
in the

I took of her doing a track called Little Lovin'.
If you've wandered around Austin enough then there's
a good chance you've seen me laughing and/or arguing in
a corner somewhere with Robert Segovia. I love
that guy. I also dig his band La Snacks.
Way back forever ago they made my year-end song
list, and now they've finally readied some
new material for me to champion. The AA
7" is due in the coming months. Enjoy.

Snacks - Christ Sakes And Milkshakes:
When it comes to throwing together catchy guitar riffs and
sarcastic commentary, there aren't too many bands around
that do it was well as La Snacks. So, it's actually a
little scary whenever I listen to this track and realize
that they've managed to take things up a few notches.
I suppose there's probably no stopping them now. Get
ready.
By the way, I'd never seen the video below before.
It's hilarious, and I will now tease Robert about it.
