Movie News
Rundown
Henry Cavill
has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman in Zack Snyder's
upcoming reboot of the series. On a related note,
Rosemund Pike, Alice Eve and Diane Kruger are all said to
all be up for the role of Ursa (not Lois Lane).
Paramount is reportedly looking at doing a remake of Pet
Cemetery.
Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman are said to be looking at
teaming up again (they recently did Real Steel
together) via an action adventure movie penned by Carlton
Cruise (Lost). No word yet on the title or plot.
James Cameron recently said that he and Guillermo del Toro
are still working to get Tom Cruise to star in At The
Mountains Of Madness.
Hanna has a new
trailer. It's not of particularly
great quality, but the flick still looks like it could be
fun.
Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, and Bella Heathcoate are all
rumored to be close to joining Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's
Dark Shadows.
Incendies apparently won some awards last year.
I'd give it one just for the
trailer. Watch it.
Warner Bros. has reportedly acquired the rights to reboot
Fletch.
Jason Segel will star in Undercover Cop. The
move is said to be set in the 80s and will follow a cop
trying to infiltrate the New Jersey criminal underworld.
Rango looks more and more entertaining. Check
out the Super Bowl
spot.
Rachel McAdams has been confirmed to have a small cameo in
Sherlock Holmes 2.
Julia Roberts is rumored to be playing the Evil Queen in the
upcoming The Brothers Grimm: Snow White (I thought
this was called Snow White And The Huntsman?).
I purposely skipped Elektra Luxx at the Austin Film
Festival, and the new
trailer seems to indicate that I made the
right decision.
Rumor has it that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join
The Dark Knight Rises.
Steve Zaillian (Clear And Present Danger) has been
brought in to rewrite the upcoming Jack Ryan movie.
Chris Pine is still set to star.
Zach Galifianakis is reportedly close to signing on to star
alongside Ryan Reynolds in RIPD. The movie is
about dead police officers who patrol the afterlife.
Joaquin Phoenix is said to be looking at a "sidekick" role
in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Baz Luhrmann is now saying that he may abandon his Great
Gatsby remake.
Ironclad looks rather awful. Here's the
trailer. On the bright side, Paul
Giamatti seems more at home in the
trailer for Win Win.
Javier Bardem has been offered a role as a villain in the
next James Bond movie. Ralph Fiennes is also said to
be considering joining the cast.
A script based on the game Zombies At My Neighbors is
said to be floating around and drawing some interest.
"We Will Wok You" That's what the
trailer actually says. Awesome.
Cameron Diaz will join Colin Firth in the Coen
Brothers-penned remake of Gambit. Michael
Hoffman will direct.
John Woo has announced that he will be producing a 3D remake
of one of his older films, The Killer.
Monogamy will either be awesome or tedious. I
just can't tell by the
trailer. Same goes for the new In
A Better World
trailer.
