Today's Quick Mention: If you want to
get out and see something tonight then I recommend
Equals at Emo's or the Pons with Black Books and
Dark Water Hymnal at Scott Inn. Wiretree is also
doing an in-store at Waterloo Records if you'd like
to get some early show-going in.
Ryan Adams is one of those artists that I have a
hard time keeping a consistent opinion on.
Sometimes I think he's great, and other times I feel
a bit burnout on him. Guess we'll see which
side I fall on when I get my hands on the new full
length. Adam's own PAX-AM (with some help from
Capitol) will release Ashes And Fire on
October 11. Enjoy.

Adams - Lucky Now:
While I liked this track on the first listen, it took me a
bit to get over the fact that it's nothing more than a
really nice, pleasant effort. I think that's because a
part of me was expecting Adams to strike out with a song
that's more upbeat and demanding of attention, and that's
just not what this is. So, before you hit play, grab
some headphones and a comfortable corner somewhere.
