Today's Quick Mention:  If you're using Spotify then you should check out a new little something called Langer VS Laird that I've started doing with Esquire writer/KGSR jock Andy Langer.  It's a friendly bantering of music back and forth in a single playlist, and our first theme is Favorite Bands That Are No Longer Together. Get access to it here.

Let's pop rock!  Enjoy.

:Library Voices - Generation Handclap:  I've never heard of this band, but this gloriously upbeat pop song is good enough to immediately make me excited for the arrival of their sophomore effort.  Before that happens, though, anyone have the debut?  I'd like to hear it.  Summer Of Lust is the name of their new full length, and it's expected October 18 via Dine Alone Records.

:Princeton - Clamoring For Your Heart:
To be honest, I'd rather see Princeton with White Rabbits and Deer Tick on Daytrotter's Barnstormer Tour than post a new single of theirs, but I'll take what I can get.  As for this track, it's slick and as accessible as can be, which is exactly what I've come to expect from the band.  The Clamoring For Your Heart 7" is due August 30.

:Stone Darling - I Stopped Missing You Today:  This is a rather simple number that features no surprises or a single sound that you're not already overly familiar with.  Fortunately, what is there makes for a really nice piece of retro pop, and that's all that actually matters.  The I Stopped Missing You Today 7" is due out August 23 via Analog Edition Records.

:Ganglians - Drop The Act:  Because I haven't already shared multiple songs in an attempt to make sure you know to pick up this band's new album, I present to you this catchy tune.  If you don't like it, you should probably call a friend or family member and ask them to come check your pulse.  Still Living is expected August 23 via the always great Lefse Records.

:Cavemen - Thankful:  Cavemen have now delivered unto me a couple of really nice sounding pop tracks, so I think I can officially say I'm interested in giving their new album a listen.  Hopefully it's a good one.  You can't own CoCo Beware in physical form until the very far away date of November 15, but Magic Man! Records is nice and will be putting it out digitally on September 13.
