Rundown
Rumor has it
that Warner Bros. is in the process of developing a
Batman & Superman movie.
Well, I'll at least say this, the second
trailer for Footloose is solid.
Because of budget issues (the estimated cost was reported to
be near $250 million), Disney has decided to pull the plug
on Gore Verbinski's The Long Ranger.
Mike Meyers has officially signed on to make Austin
Powers 4.
I actually saw 50/50 earlier this week and absolutely
loved it. Here's the new
trailer.
The writers behind Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes say
they have ideas for two more sequels.
Jonathan Demme has signed on to direct the adaptation of
Stephen King's 11/22/63. The book, which has
yet to be released, is about a teacher who travels back in
time to try and stop JFK's assassination.
A third Bridget Jones Diary is reportedly in the
works.
Bruce Willis is said to be close to joining GI Joe:
Retaliation as General Joe Colton. In the comics
this character was responsible for starting the GI Joes.
The Odd Life Of Timothy Green looks ... odd.

Mark Strong and Vera Farminga have signed on to star in
Closer To The Moon. The film is said to be about a
group of Jews who rob a bank while convincing people that
it's a scene in a movie.
Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg will star in Broken City.
The film is said to be about a mayor who hires a private
investigator to see if his wife is cheating on him.
Dreamworks has canned Eminem's boxing flick, Southpaw.
No word yet on why.
As expected, A Very Harold And Kumar Christmas looks
ridiculous. Check out the

Justin Lin is reportedly still attached to whatever the next
Terminator movie turns out to be, but he is going to
first direct the sixth Fast And Furious flick.
Disney is said to be courting Mark Romanek (Never Let Me
Go) to direct a new adaptation of Cinderella.
Eddie Murphy is all set to voice Hong Kong Phooey in
a big screen adaptation of the 70s cartoon.
Morgan Freeman has joined the cast of Now You See Me.
Keanu Reeves may star in and direct Man Of Tai Chi.
No word yet on what the plot is.
Kenny Ortega, who actually served as the choreographer on
the original film, has been hired to direct a remake of
Dirty Dancing.
If Taylor Lautner didn't have such a squishy face, I might
be interested in Abduction. OK, not really.

Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) may star in and direct
an adaptation of Home Again. The book follows a
former FBI agent who is trying to a solve a murder mystery
with his son.
