Today's Quick Mention:  It's another night that would probably be best spent at a movie or just at home on the couch, but if you feel the need to see some live music then I think catching Yellow Fever, World Club and Boy Friend at the Mohawk would be a good idea.

For a while there the new Hella full length and all of the tracks that make it up were untitled.  Now, with the release date just a few weeks away, everything has received some wordage.  Hooray for that!  Check out the latest single below, and then note that you'll be able to find Tripper all over the place on August 30 through Sargent House.  Enjoy.

:Hella - Yubacore:  The first tune released off the new album (you can hear it in faux-video form below) was exactly what I've come to expect from Hella - loud, chaotic, infectious.  This features a hint or two of that stuff, but for the most part the song has its own thing going on. There's a slower pace, some strange layers, and unlike most of the band's material, it seems to actually feature a beginning, middle and end.  I dig it.
