Today's Quick Mention: Today is the
wife's birthday, and that means I'll be off doing
something fun elsewhere. You, however, should
most definitely head to the Parish for Peelander-Z
and Anamanaguchi. Doors are at 8pm.
Tickets are a very reasonable $12.
I've never really cared for Ganglians all that much,
but the announcement of their return has me
interested. Why? Because the first
single is pretty awesome. Also, I checked out
some older stuff, and it was good in the sort of way
that made me realize I need to reassess my opinion
of the band. Lefse will release Still
Living on August 23. Enjoy.

This makes me want to stand somewhere, clap and haphazardly
march in place. It's seriously all I can think about
when the song comes on, and I blame the its catchy lyrics
and steady-paced arrangement. On another note, I've
seen tons of people that keep saying this sounds exactly
like Fleet Foxes. I don't hear it. Do you?
