Today's Quick Mention:  Tonight I'll be competing in the Austin Chronicle's second Mind Over Music trivia competition.  My pals Andy Langer and Charlie Hodge are hosting, and the money from it goes to helping Grounded In Music.  If you happen to have plans to be there then be sure to say hello!

And then there were five songs.  Enjoy.

:Santigold - Go (Featuring Karen O):   Santigold is back!  I think.  This one-off track with Karen O (and Q-Tip as the producer) may actually just be a way for her to make sure the world knows she's still around.  Whatever the deal is, get ready for a wild little three and half minutes that's overly catchy and, of course, as hip as can be.  Anyone have the scoop on when a new full length can be expected?

:Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr - Morning Thought:  I swear it was just the other day that I was first listening to the Horse Power EP and thinking that these guys had some potential.  And now, here they are with an improved sound AND a headlining tour.  Way to be quick about it, fellas.  The band will play Emo's on May 28, and It's A Corporate World is set to be released on June 7 via Quite Scientific Records.

:Miwa Gemini - Goodnight Trail:  Miwa has always been one of those artists that I've never really connected with, but I quickly found myself attached to this song.  I think it might be because it's got a dark, alt-country thing going on.  Feel free to recommend something older from her if it carries a similar sound.  The imaginary character-based Fantastic Lies Of Grizzly Rose is due May 31 via Rock Park Records.

:Cass McCombs - The Lonely Doll:  This slow moving, lullaby-esque track is probably not something your brain is going to like all that much on a Monday, but it's too good to not share now.  Just as you should do with pretty much all of Cass' music, grab some headphones and find a quiet place to kick back as you listen.  Wit's End is all set to come out on April 26 via Domino.

:Wild Flag - Glass Tambourine:  It took forever to happen, but over the weekend I was finally able to get my hands on a Wild Flag song to share (two, actually ... you'll get the other one tomorrow).  Expect to love this if you've ever kind of liked any sort of indie rock at any point in  your life.  At this point eBay is the only place you're going to find the Record Store Day 7" that this track calls home.
