Speaking of GBV and shows here in Austin, today I
have a band that's covering the famed indie act
and they just played our awesome little town
earlier in the week. Coincidence?
Probably, but I'm going to say no anyway. The
compilation Guided By Guided By Voices is too
cool for any of us and is sold-out in its
cassette-only format, so you'll have to just live
without a hard copy. Enjoy.

Summers - A Salty Salute (Guided By Voices Cover):
I like the original version (check it out in faux-video form
below), but I think I'm actually partial to this version.
Eternal Summers slow things down a bit, which no longer
makes the song sound like it's ready to hurry up and move on
from itself, and the added detail of haze gives it a neat
feel. More please.
