Yee Haw!  Only three more days until the inaugural Wild Frontier Fest!  What’s the Wild Frontier Fest you ask? Why, it’s a one day musical extravaganza this Saturday at the Mohawk.  The festival was organized by local record label/promotions company Vagabond Collective and they’ve put together a hell of a line-up.  There's over twenty of Austin's best bands plus a photo booth, pop up arcade (whatever the hell that is), local vendors, live art and Sanctuary Printshop will be printing exclusive shirts all day from the back of an El Camino.  Better yet, it's only $12 to get in.

The organizers have planned a lot for your amusement, but a music festival lives or dies on one thing: the bands.  Personally, I’m super stoked for the headliners, Holy Fuck, an instrumental act out of Toronto.  They use a variety of what look to be homemade instruments, and that helps set their sound apart from the average electronica bands of the world.  The music will compel you to bounce up and down and shake your money maker.  Do not miss these guys.

While I’m excited for Holy Fuck, I’m also pumped for the onslaught of Austin bands.  Honestly, I don’t know most of the groups, but I think that’s what makes events like the Wild Frontier Fest so great.  Most acts won’t bowl me over, but I bet a few are sure to surprise and really impress.

Here's a few tracks to get you excited for the show.  Also, if you'd like, check out the full lineup here.
