Today's Quick Mention:  This is a bit random, but my friends over at Light In The Attic started a film imprint called Cinewax.  You should check it out.  Their first release is the soundtrack for Winter's Bone (one of 2010's better movies), and they have some other neat stuff coming up.

Tapes N' Tapes have returned!  Can't say I've been yearning for them to come out of the shadows, but they are a good band and I'm happy to hear they've readied a new album.  Ibid Records, which is actually their label, will release Outside on January 11, and you'll be able to see them play here at Emo's on February 18.  Enjoy.

:Tapes N' Tapes - Freak Out:  To be honest, this is surprisingly grown up.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.  You have to like anything that's well crafted, and there is definitely a good enough hook here to keep the song in your head for a while.  Just be sure to not expect to find the spazzy energy that was prevalent in previous tracks like Insistor (hear it below in video form) and Hang Them All.
