Today's Quick Mention: The Austin Film
Festival (sorry if you're tired of hearing about it)
is now prepped to be great. 127 Hours
and Fair Game screen tonight, Black Swan
is tomorrow and Casino Jack is on Thursday.
All are set to happen at the Paramount. Buy a
ticket for one or four and join me.
First of all, did Lykke Li really put out Youth
Novels in 2008!? Where the hell has the
time gone? Secondly, I specifically remember
her debut not being as good as I thought it would
be, so let's hope the new effort really delivers and
totally blows the collective mind of the world.
Expect more info on the full length in the coming
days/weeks/months. Enjoy.

Li - Get Some:
This is an interesting track. I suppose lyrics that
mention being a prostitute having plenty of "extra" meaning
for any artist, but in 2010 it's hard to not regard such a
thing as insanely silly as opposed to clever. Still, I
don't necessarily listen to Lykke Li for what's she belting
out with that pretty voice of hers, I'm in for the music,
and I love how aggressive this is.
