Today's Quick Mention: Really don't
think I'll be catching any live music this weekend,
but if I decide to skip out on the Austin Film
Festival at all then it will definitely be for the
Thermals, Cymbals Eat Guitars and the Coathangers at
Red 7 on Saturday. Doors are at 9pm.
As
indicated by this one (and not five) artist post,
some of the content around here may be a bit wonky
over the next week because of the film festival.
On the bright side, today's track is rather good,
and I think you're going to really find it worthy of
the spotlight. Everest has a new album titled
On Approach, and it's currently available.

- Let Go:
The last thing I shared from this band was a somewhat
Americana tune titled Trees (check it out in video
form below), so I was a little surprised when Let Go
turned out to be such a super slick piece of pop. I
really need to get on with snatching up their LP, this way I
can see what other sounds and styles they may have up their
sleeve.
