Today's Quick Mention: The Austin Film
Festival starts today! Don't forget that my
overly loaded
schedule
may alter some of the content. For instance,
tomorrow you'll probably get one track instead of

Tokyo's the Suzan seems to be on a cover kick these
days. They just put out a version of the
Strokes Take It Or Leave It, and now they're
going after Kanye West. I dig it. No
covers are on it, but Fool's Gold is going to put
out the Bjorn (of Peter, Bjorn and John) produced
Golden Week For The Poco Poco Beat on October
26. Enjoy.

Suzan - Paranoid (Kanye West Cover):
Kanye's 808s And Heartbreak is by far my least
favorite LP of his. Not only is all of the
auto-tune rather annoying, but the entire thing is so
depressing that I'm not sure why anyone would ever want to
casually listen to it. Fortunately, these ladies
abandoned all of that silliness and instead turn Paranoid
into one of the cooler tracks I've heard recently. Way
to own it, ladies.
