Rundown
In perhaps a
'believe it when I see on the screen' kind of moment, Peter
Jackson has gotten the green light to direct two Hobbit
films. Shooting will start in February.
Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones are said to be in
negotiations to appear in the Jason Segel-scripted
Muppets movie. The story is said to follow the
loveable characters as they put on a show to save their
studio.
Drive Angry 3D looks awesome. See the trailer

Bradley Cooper has denied that he's being courted to play
the lead role in the adaptation of the Flash comic.
Robert De Niro will co-star with Sigourney Weaver in Red
Lights. The movie will deal with a psychologist
who seeks out a world-renown psychic after she she starts
studying paranormal activity.
Antonio Banderas will star in Black Gold, which is
said to be about Arabian rulers in the 1930s and oil.
You need more drama in your life, so here's the All Good

Joe Carnahan (A-Team) is set to direct Umbra.
The movie apparently follows a man who finds a cassette tape
with a terrible secret on it.
The permit to film Angelina Jolie's directorial debut has
been rejected by the Bosnian government. There was no
script attached, and this is said to be a big part of the
approval process.
Plans are underway for a sequel to Top Gun 2.
Like the original, it will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer
and directed by Tony Scott. Tom Cruise has even agreed
to have a small role in it.
Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder) recently mentioned
that the script for Zoolander 2 is nearly completed.
Rhys Ifans will play Dr. Curt Connors (aka The Lizard) in
the Spider-Man reboot.
Tom Hardy has joined the cast of Batman 3. No
word yet on what character he will be playing, but it's said
to be a lead role.
Danny Boyle has once again expressed interest in directing
the third film in the 28 Days/Weeks Later series.
Faster now has a second
trailer. Still seems like it should
be OK.
James Cameron is being rumored as a possible choice to
direct the Cleopatra film that sets to star Angelina
Jolie.
Betty White has been cast in Men In Black 3.
Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall) will direct Eternal,
which is about a man who realizes a ghost is after his soul.
Guillermo Del Toro has denied all of the rumors that say
he's been approached to direct a Godzilla movie.
Mark Wahlberg will star in Ted. The Seth
McFarlane-directed movie will be a mixture of live action
and CG, and it will follow a guy who begins to have problems
with his girlfriend after his childhood teddy bear comes to
life.
Eddie Murphy will co-star in Tower Heist with Ben
Stiller. Brett Ratner will direct.
Now that she's passed on Gravity, Natalie Portman is
being rumored as the possible lead in the Alien
prequel.
Sam Rockwell and Jonah Hill will star in The Sitter,
which is said to follow a babysitter who inadvertently takes
some child on a wild ride through Manhattan.
