Today's Quick Mention:  I can't personally decide if it's too early for Christmas music or what, but I've been kind of digging the compilation that Target put together for the holidays.  Stream it here.  Then help me find out why Bishop Allen is contributing to this and not releasing a new LP.

Despite spending most of yesterday with the panicked realization that I'm incredibly close to needing to assemble a variety of year-end lists in the coming weeks, I did find a bit of time to appreciate some brand spanking new stuff from Jim Noir.  The artist just put out a digital EP titled Zooper Dooper, and I believe you'll like it.  Enjoy.

:Jim Noir - Car:  As is the case with a good portion of Jim's music, whimsical is a good word to use when describing the overall feel of Car.  It's a track that seems to effortlessly glide along to its own happy pop pace.  Although, the arrangement is definitely enhanced by the lyrics and the brief tale they tell of a silly spat with a neighbor.  Expect to want to leave this on repeat.
