Today's Quick Mention: Joanna Newsom is
at the Paramount tonight! As far as I know the
show isn't sold out, so you still have some time to
buy a ticket and witness her enchanting ways live.
On a related note, anyone know who the "special
guest" is? I haven't seen it listed anywhere.
I have an incredibly long day of work ahead of me
tomorrow, so for today's post I think I
instinctively sought out something that can help me
chill out and not dread what's coming. Way to
be relaxing, Tennis. Make a note to remember
that the duo's full length is titled Cape Dory
and will be out January 18 on Fat Possum.

- Take Me Somewhere:
Admittedly, this song kind of caught me off guard. I
was expecting their usual high level of fuzz and haze, but
this indie pop gem has a surprisingly clean sound, and it
has me liking them more than ever. Actually, I might
even be smitten. In any case, if the rest of their
album is this sugary sweet then I can already see myself
listening to it way too much in 2011.
