Today's Quick Mention:LOST is
over. I thought the finale (and the entire
series, for that matter) made for some great TV, and
I will definitely miss the show. But what
about you? Are you happy it's over? Did
the writers wrap things up nicely enough? More
importantly, what the hell do we watch now?
Despite the fact that Someone Still Loves You Boris
Yeltsin greatly makes me miss working in college
radio as a Music Director (Broom was one of
my favorite adds all those years ago), I am happy to
report the band is still happily chugging along.
Their new album, which Chris Walla produced, is
called Let It Sway and the one and only
Polyvinyl will release it on August 17. Enjoy.

There definitely seems to be a larger than normal emphasis
these days on more electronic-tinged indie pop, so it's kind
of nice to hear a straight up, no frills piece of jangly
joy. Hopefully you kind people still dig that sound.
I know I do, and I'm pretty thrilled at the thought of being
able to get my hands on an entire album of it.
