Today's Quick Mention:  If you bought The Dead Weather's Sea Of Cowards on vinyl then you might want to drop the needle on the center label and check out the two tracks that have been hidden there by the ever tricky Jack White.  How does he manage to always be so damn cool?

I've never really paid that much attention to Darker My Love, but
with them putting out a pretty cool Roky Erickson cover (it's in the podcast from two weeks ago) and a slick new single, I think it's time for me to wise up and get with the program.  Dangerbird Records will release Alive As You Are on the far away day of August 17.  Enjoy.

:Darker My Love - Dear Author:  With a runtime that's less than three minutes and not a single thing about it that doesn't scream simplistic, there just isn't a whole lot to this track.  However, what is there just so happens to be a big, sweeping rock arrangement that shoves everything along, and it alone makes Dear Author working checking out.  Consider this perfect music to cruise around with in the car.
