Today's Quick Mention:  Just in case you haven't already stumbled across it (and listened to 12 times ... like me), be sure to check out the new Sleigh Bells album over at NPR.  And don't procrastinate!  It's only going to be streaming there another couple of days.

If a part of this week is going to feature the fuzzy pop stars known as The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, I might as well "branch out" and show a little love to the equally fuzzy and poppy Dum Dum Girls.  Their Record Store Day exclusive, which was a split 7" with Male Bonding, hit the interwebs yesterday, and I think it's worth your time.  Enjoy.

:Dum Dum Girls - Pay For Me:  You can probably guess what this is going to sound like, but let's face it - that's kind of the reason you (and me) keep coming back for more.  There's a hook, some fuzz, a dash of spunk and an all around straight up cool vibe that just rings out through your speakers for the song's entire two and half minute runtime.  How can anyone not love this band?
