Movie News
Rundown
The RZA will
make his directorial debut with The Man With The Iron
Fist, which is said to be a kung fu movie based around a
blacksmith who must make weapons for a small town in China
to defend themselves with.
There's some rumblings that Namco Bandai may announce a
Pac-Man movie at this year's E3.
Men In Black 3D is coming together. Will Smith
is onboard, Barry Sonnenfeld is back in the director's chair
and the movie has been given a release date of May 25, 2012.
Also, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin are supposedly in
talks to join the cast.
Whoa. That's all that can be said about the new
Inception
trailer.
Mission Impossible 4 has wrangled Brad Bird (Incredibles,
Iron Giant) as its director. The movie has also
been bumped from the summer to December 16, 2011.
20th Century Fox has greenlit Rise Of The Apes.
The movie will come out next year and will feature
photo-realistic apes (not people in costumes) designed by
WETA.

Casey Affleck is said to be shopping the mockumentary he
made about Joaquin Phoenix going from actor to hip hop star.
Because people keep going to see them, work has begun on
another Ice Age movie. It will, of course, be
in 3D.
Pedro Almodovar and Antonio Banderas are said to be working
on a project called The Skin I Live In. It
would be their first since Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down
almost 20 years ago.
Skip Woods (Hitman) is reportedly working on a script
for a new Die Hard flick.
Wait. Steven Seagal is in Machete? Win.

Matthew Vaughn has changed his mind. He will now
direct X-Men: First Class.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is reportedly looking at doing either
Premium Rush (directed by David Koepp, he would play
a bike messenger on the run) or Looper (directed by
Rian Johnson, he would play a time traveler who finds out
he's been sent to assassinate himself).
Sam Rockwell has joined Jon Favreau's Cowboys And Aliens.
Sylvester Stallone has decided not to bother with Rambo V.
The American finally has a
trailer. Looks pretty good.
There's a rumor that Dwayne Johnson may join the cast of the
next Fast And Furious movie.
Toby Jones (Capote) will play mad scientist Arnim
Zola and Hugo Weaving will be the Red Skull in the upcoming
Captain America: The First Avenger. Jon Favreau
also confirmed that a young Howard Stark will appear in the
film.
Terrance Howard will play Nelson Mandela in Winnie,
which is about the famous political figure's ex-wife.
Kirsten Wiig has optioned Clown Girl. The book
is said to be about about a woman who is struggling to make
it in street fairs, so she considers being a prostitute that
specializes in clown fetishes.
Chiwetel Ejiofor (Serenity, Red Belt) will
play Fela Anikulap in the upcoming biopic based on the
musician and activist. No word yet on a title.
The first trailer for Shrek Forever was fairly awful, but
the new
one is a bit promising.
Mile Kunis and Justin Timberlake will star in the romantic
comedy Friends With Benefits.
After tossing around roughly a zillion ideas, Steven
Spielberg's next film will be War Horse. It's
said to be about a man and his horse who are separated and
then reunited at various times throughout World War I.
Platinum Dunes is said to be looking at doing a sequel to
the recent Nightmare On Elm Street remake.
