Today's Quick Mention:  By now you've probably heard that Lala is shutting down at the end of the month.  I can't seem to find an exact reason anywhere, but the rumor is that Apple (it owns Lala) is making room for an iTunes.com launch later this summer.  Interesting, yeah?

I'm still not sure whether I like either of the new Wolf Parade songs that every blog in the world has posted up in the last 24 hours, so instead today I'll be providing you a little something from Curtis Plum.  I meant to mention this guy when he put out his debut on Sage Francis' Strange Famous records back in February, but I totally forgot.  Oops.  The LP is called Call My Cellphone.  Enjoy.

:Curtis Plum - Indie Rocker:  Before you hit play you should know that you're going to need two listens before you "get" it.  The first will be to break the ice and to start the process of getting over how completely fucking ridiculous this song is with its big Casio-beat and Curtis' bizarro accent.  The second will be to come to the realization that what he throws down here may be the most true stuff ever.  "Remember junior high/What happened to you/I remember when you listened to Blink 182"
