Rundown
Disney is
reportedly interested in doing a prequel to The Wizard Of
Oz titled Oz: The Great And Powerful. Sam
Raimi is said to be the studio's preferred director.
Anton Yelchin (Charlie Bartlett, Terminator
Salvation) and Aaron Johnson (Kick Ass) are now
rumored to be possible choices to play the new Peter Parker.
This search may never end.
It seems as though Clash Of The Titans 2 is a go.
Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls) is in talks to
direct.
Disney has released a
trailer for Tangled. It
doesn't look good.
Angelina Jolie might play Cleopatra in the adaptation of the
upcoming biography Cleopatra: A Life.
Because you asked that the story be treated with respect and
honor, Bill Condon's Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
will be split into two movies.
The third Batman film from Christopher Nolan will
start shooting in March, 2011.
Um. Here's what may or may not be a
trailer for Rango.
Michael Bay has confirmed a few things about Transformers
3. It will be in 3D. The two little racists
robots won't be back. Shockwave is the villain.
Warner Bros. is said to be working on a Flash script
and (already) a sequel to Green Lantern.
Tony Gilroy has been hired to write a fourth Bourne
movie (he also wrote the first three). However, it
doesn't look as though Paul Greengrass or Matt Damon will
return.
I had no faith in this movie, but with every
trailerThe Sorcerer's Apprentice
looks kind of like silly fun.
Paramount and MTV Films are looking to do a spin-off with
Les Grossman (Tom Cruise) from Tropic Thunder.
Ben Stiller will produce and Michael Bacall (Scott
Pilgrim) will pen the script.
A Bermuda Triangle-centric plot for Indy 5 showed up
online earlier this week, but producer Frank Marshall
quickly killed it.
Some possible titles have surfaced. The next John
McClane adventure may be called Die Hard 24/7 and The
Thing and Co. may start over in Fantastic Four Reborn.
Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds) is rumored
to be up for roles in X-Men: First Class (Magneto)
and the Spider-Man reboot (unknown villain).
Not sure what Dogtooth is actually about, but the
trailer looks interesting.
Stanley Tucci has been cast in Captain America: The First
Avenger.
Nick Nolte and Jennifer Garner are said to be close to
joining the cast of the Russell Brand and Helen Miren-lead
remake of Arthur.
There's some rumors floating around that sequels to The
Departed, Mean Girls and Taken are being
discussed.
MGM has put the remake of Red Dawn on hold because of
money woes.
F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job) may direct Bruce
Willis and Jamie Foxx in the adaptation of the video game
Kane And Lynch.
